who you really are...
Personality: Lyra is very much the pirate she was when she was still human. She takes what she wants and is loyal to who she respects, but not so much to anyone else. She lives by the pirate code even today, and does not care what anyone else thinks. If you are loyal to her and respect her then she will be friendly and helpful to you, but disrespect her in any way and you can guarantee she is going to make you pay for it.

Dislikes: Being disrespected, people stealing from her, rude people

History:
Lyra was born to the Captain of a ship and the mistress of a pub in a port city. Her mother died of illness when she was very young and no one knew who her real father was, so the Captain of a pirate ship, who greatly respected her mother who served anyone regardless of who they were or what they did, and was kind to everyone. He brought Lyra on to his ship and dressed her as a boy to protect her, making her part of his crew. She worked twice as hard as anyone trying to fit in and to make a name for herself, gaining the respect of her crew. When their Captain was killed in a battle with navel Captains, She jumped up and led the charge against them, getting the crew out of the battle and safe to mend their wounded. They named her captain and for 6 years she led the crew in pillaging and generally just surviving.
All changed when a bad storm hit and the ship was torn in two. She survived, though was badly injured and dying, along with a few of her other crew members. A kind vampire found her and the crew, and took pitty on them. The vampire fed them blood, some of them survived, but Lyra and a few others died with the vampire's blood in their systems. When they awoke, they were so hungry they fed from their own crew members, unable to control themselves. Unfortunately, none of the ones who had just healed survived the attack. Lyra and the others got separated when they set out, some being caught by naval officers, while Lyra and some of the others were forced to scatter, Lyra herself ending up on a ship heading for the Americas. She has been moving around between the two places ever since. Now she has come across Mystic Falls and has taken an interest in the place, currently thinking about settling down there for awhile, assuming no one tries to force her out or attempt to kill her.
