Pity parties aren't really my thing (open)

Thomas had found a case that caught his interest, as both a Detective and as a Hunter.  Seemed a vampire was on the loose.  Killings, maiming, draining.  The thing that caught his interest was that this one seemed to be just on a rampage.  No real reason for his actions, no apparent path he was taking, nothing linking victims.  As both a Detective and Hunter, he had to try to do something about this, but he was so unfamiliar with his environment, he decided to start at the local family house of the Salvatores.


Knocking and then being greeted in such a manner, he laughed, taking a step back.  "Woah now, no need for the hostility, jeez.  Just a normal Detective, looking to do normal Detective things you know.  Thomas Kessinger, new to the parts.  Pleasure."  Thomas smirked looking the man up and down and then cleared his throat.  Removing his hat, he tucked it under his arm, looking the man back in the eyes.  "Since I'm not from around here I was hoping you'd have some information about these parts.  You know, shady figures, good places to get information, maybe even help a little."  Looking past the man into the house he nodded.  "Nice place, if I might add."


Taking a small step back he would reach into his jacket, revealing the revolver he had tucked into it's holster and offered a card with his name and rank on it towards the man.

Thomas noted the obvious discomfort from the man.  That was to be expected, he was a cop.  Nobody liked cops.  Thomas hated cops, and he was one.  Smirking at the jokes of he accepted the invitation inside with a tilt of the head and stepped past the man, looking around, which was natural for a man with his pedigree and background.  "Like I said, nice place.  Quite well done work, I gotta say."  Moving over towards a nearby chair he stood there and watched as the man moved towards the alcohol, nodding.  "Jack, neat would be great thank you sir.  Man has to indulge during his day off right?"


Accepting the drink, he would take a quick sip before pulling out his phone and flipping through a few things.  "So, you're Damon right?  Brother is Stefan of the Salvatore family?  You guys ever consider becoming a Mob family?  I mean, you have the name, right?"  Smiling Thomas took another sip, before looking back down at his phone.  "I'm looking for info because there has been a string of rather gruesome kills.  I call them kills because it's rather obvious these were just brutal takedowns, more so than murders.  I heard you and your family have been here awhile and seem to be pillars of the community!"  thomas said raising his arms as he said pillar, insinuating the home as the pillar before looking back to him.


"In my experience it's those pillars that can usually get away with such things and hide various information from the authorities.  Luckily, I'm something of a special case."  Sipping one last time as his eyes locked with Damon somewhat menacingly.  Thomas always carried various wards that he had learned about in his years, but this was a new area, and everything was different.  Still, didn't hurt to always try to be as prepared as you could be.  "So, where's your brother at, if I might ask?"
