WHO SHE WAS;;
Caroline was always the popular girl, or at least she always had to be one of them. She has always been a bit of a control freak and a perfectionist. She wants everything to be perfect, she has to have things her way or all hell is going to break loose. She has always been extremely fit and athletic, she was the captain of the cheer leading squad, and always displayed a strong role of leadership even if she didn't always have the best way of going about things. She is extremely loyal and protective of her friend and family. She is a lot like her mother, for she is determined and very strong; though she had a confident persona that she put up to show every one underneath she was extremely neurotic and insecure because she could never say the right thing to get the guys to fall for her. Since becoming a vampire she has matured quite a bit.
WHO SHE IS;;
Becoming a vampire was an eye opening experience for Caroline. Since then she has become quite a bit more responsible and confident in herself. She shows an amazing amount of self control for a vampire of her age, having only killed once. Something that nearly destroyed her and her connection with humanity. She has been given a sense of freedom, she is no longer bound to this world with a mortal life but is instead free to do anything that she wants to do. Caroline is intelligent and witty, even comical at times. Though she can still be outspoken and controlling she has quite a bit more control over herself and has tried to stop controlling other peoples lives.

History:
Caroline is the only child of Bill and Elizabeth Forbes. She was raised her entire life in Mystic Falls, Virginia. Over the years as a child she slowly developed a few friendships, Bonnie Bennett and Elena Gilbert quickly became her two best friends. Though they could honestly see that she was a bit of a control freak and she hid the fact that she was upset about her dad being gone with a delusional positivity that Elena called annoying. After the divorce, Elizabeth was promoted as Sherrif of Mystic Falls and she had less time to spend with her mom. In fact Caroline did not wish to learn how to ride a bike, because she never wanted to do it without her mom, however Liz convinced Caroline that one day she would have to do things without her, and this was just the first step.
As a freshman in highschool Caroline's father left and announced that he was gay. He moved away from Mystic Falls to Georgia with his partner Steven. Though he and Liz where still technically together, Caroline discovered that her father had been having an affair with this man for quite some time now. It ruined her image of her father, and she honestly stopped talking to him when he started to treat his partners daughter more like his own child than she was. Caroline began to become a bit more insecure, and was now suffering from abandonment issues, though she didn't really bring any of this up to her friends. They where having their own problems, and though Caroline could be shallow she was not heartless, and she preferred to handle things on her own.
After the death of Elena's parents, Caroline began to see her friend as a bit more of a rival; for it was always about Elena, Elena never had to try to get the guys attention and yet Caroline tried with everything she had. As can be proven when she tries to gain Stefan's attention on his first day of school, but he ignores her for Elena only driving Caroline's jealousy even more. She is soon discovered by Damon Salvatore who begins to use Caroline for his own entertainment and selfish greed. He feeds off of her and compels her to get what he wants over the next couple of weeks until he uses her in an attempt to get a Crystal that is inside the Lockwood house. However Stefan had spiked Caroline's drink with vervain and when Damon fed from her that night he became ill and Stefan was able to lock him up and steal his daylight ring. Around this time she also stared to date Matt Donovan though this did not last very long.
Many more events have transpired since then. After an accident that landed Caroline in the hospital she was turned into a vampire by Katherine Pierce who suffocated Caroline with her pillow to turn her. Katherine had plans to use Caroline to her advantage, to give her to Klaus to use in the sacrifice, however she was rescued by Damon. As a vampire Caroline began to have a better view of the world and began to calm down a bit, becoming a bit more confident in who she was. Now it is Caroline's final year of high school, and she is more prepared than ever to face whatever challenges may come her way.
