Emma awoke with a start once the heavy thunder crashed sounded all through Mystic Falls. The rain was pouring heavily and Emma was lucky that she was on a bus, and wasn't getting soaked from head to toe. She sat up straight and stood up onto her worn, white converse in a hurry, before the bus pulled away. Emma began to run towards a popular cafe, the Mystic Grill, where she would hang out for a while. Emma shivered as she entered the cafe and shook off all of the rain that she could, then walking towards a corner booth. Emma sat down on in the booth and sighed as she looked out the closest window to her right, watching heavy collections of precipitation mercilessly pounding onto the sidewalks, streets, houses, shops, and neighborhoods of Mystic Falls, Virginia.
Emma sighed again, forcing herself to look away from the pouring rain outside. She instead observed people inside the cafe. Waiters working busily to take orders, cooks making drinks and food for their many customers, cooks working quickly in the kitchen to fix the food that kept them in business. Every one in the cafe was busy. Everybody but Emma. Emma had nothing to do, nothing except watch, stare, and observe the many customers in the cafe. OF course, Emma would totally rather be looking for her brother, or maybe working on a demon case that had her stumped. Soon, even that became tedious. So, Emma nodded her head to the music playing, which happened to be Seven Nation Army, her favorite song by the White Stripes. Once the song was over, a new one played, and this one was Highway to Hell by AC/DC.
Emma laughed a bit. "Would it kill them to play some music from the twenty first century?" She questioned softly. Emma then got up and made her way towards all the people dancing and danced with them. After about an hour of dancing, Emma walked back to her seat, and saw it occupied. She let out a sigh and walked over to a booth with a man in it, who she had seen before but didn't recognize. "Mind if I sit here?" Emma asked. "I got booth-jacked." She said with a small chuckle. Then someone bumped into her, causing her nostril's to flare, and her Hunter's instincts to kick in, and spin around in the blink of an eye. And good that she did. The person that bumped into was a woman with black eyes. "I heard you're looking for me. Catch me if you can." She said, before taking off running.
And Emma being Emma, of course ran after her, all the way out of the Grill and into the forest near it, where she lost the demon. "Dammit." Emma cursed under her breath. A holy water flask in one hand, a demon blade in another, and a determined and disappointed look on her face, Emma yelled out, and kicked a tree near her, which proved to be a bad move. "Shit!" She cried out, dropping the holy water and demon blade to hold her foot. "Now that wasn't the wisest of things to do." Rang the voice of the demon. Emma spun around and went to go pick her weapons back up, but the demon flung her against a tree. Needless to say, without any help from another Hunter soon, Emma was screwed.
